LEI Lookup

Check a Legal Entity Identifier against the global LEI register.

What an LEI tells you

A Legal Entity Identifier is a 20-character code that identifies a legal entity worldwide, used in financial reporting, trading and payments. The last two characters are check digits, so a mistyped LEI is caught straight away. The record shows the entity's official legal name and address, whether the entity still exists, and whether its LEI is current: an LEI must be renewed every year, and a "lapsed" one means the data hasn't been re-verified recently.
