Peppol Lookup
Check whether a company can receive e-invoices over Peppol, under which ID, and in which formats.
What this checks
Peppol is the network most European businesses and governments use to send e-invoices. A company can only receive them once its service provider has registered it under a Peppol ID, such as its VAT number (for example 9925:BE0417497106) or its company number (0208:0417497106 in Belgium). Enter a VAT number and we look up every Peppol ID it maps to, straight from the Peppol network's own registry, then read which document formats the company accepts, such as Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 or XRechnung.
Why it matters now
E-invoicing between businesses is becoming mandatory across Europe. In Belgium, invoices between VAT-registered businesses must be sent as structured e-invoices, by default over Peppol, from 1 January 2026, and other EU countries are introducing their own requirements. Checking before you invoice avoids sending to a customer who can't receive it.
Not found?
Some companies are registered under an identifier we can't derive from their VAT number, such as a GLN or a Dutch KvK number. If you know it, enter the full Peppol ID (scheme code, colon, identifier). A company that isn't on Peppol may still receive e-invoices by email or through another network.
